Guiding - The Netherlands

Polder Pikes - The Overijssel area is located 80 km northeast of Amsterdam. The area is irrigated by hundreds of kilometers of easily accessible canals, rivers and lakes. Not very deep and rich in plants, they are filled with Whitefish and pikes. Unlike walleye, pikes are not very well considered for their culinary value in The Netherlands; they are rather valued as sport fish. For the last 10 years, fishermen systematically release the fish they catch, so that the quantity of beautiful fish (size above 80 cm long) is huge and one of the most important in Europe. More

Walleye boat fishing - Dutch waters are filled with numerous and beautiful walleye. And we know where to find them, as we’ve fished most lakes, rivers and canals! Walleyes’ average size varies from 40 to 70cm and their weight from 3 to 10lb. According to season and weather conditions, walleyes usually swim 1 to 15 m under the surface. We cannot promise 40 walleyes for each boat, but such catches can happen. If you are in a lucky day, you might very well catch such a fish (left photo) Apart from walleyes, you can also fish (big) pikes and perch. More

Rainbow trouts of salt lake Oostvoorne - Fishing the Oostvoornse Salt Lake is an extraordinary fishing experience in Europe, where salmonids fight like sea fish! On first thought, The Netherlands might not sound like a complete change of scene for a fishing trip, but all fishermen who have shared this fishing experience with us loved it and decided to come back to this amazing spot on a regular basis. Oostvoornse Salt Lake covers an expanse of about 650 acres. It is located within an ornithological reserve near Oostvoorne. More
